Brody has always liked to hold small things ex. chapstick, tweezers, nail clippers, marbles, and Sitto's sewing measuring tape. But when it comes to Brody's choices of books I just had to document them.
Here is an example of a normal toddlers selection of reading books. Tons of pictures, big words, and pages that flip and do fun things. ...
Now here is an example of my son's reading materials.
No joke Brody picked out the Salt Lake City Travel Guide at a used book store full of amazing children's books. Even the lady at the counter couldn't help but laugh at his selection. As for the Dictionary and The Daily Devotional book (absolutely zero pictures, and super tiny print) Derek fought and fought with Brody to leave those books in our office, but finally gave up the fight after endless nights of Brody choosing these for his bedtime story. And lastly the Holy Bible you see to the left was Sitto's that he up right and stole from her. She had to start using another one, due to the fact that she too didn't want to keep fighting with him over his nap time choice for reading. These books sit on his night stand and every night while I put him to bed this is what he chooses to read, so so hilarious. I just adore you my little Brody Bear.

Brody's Daily Attire; Past & Present
Brody became potty trained about a month after he turned three. One evening while I was changing out his 2T clothes for bigger sizes Brody noticed some new swim trunks and was eager to try them on. I didn't think anything of it, and allowed him to put one on. Well needless to say once Brody put them on he continued to wear swim trunks for 8 months. Every day rain or shine (luckily shine due to living in Arizona) this is what my child wore, no matter what the occasion.
Notice a pattern:(
After 8 continuous months of nothing but swim trunks and swim material shirts I am excited to announce that as of November Brody has ended his swim trunk streak...
This is what Brody wore to church this last weekend, and I can't get over how darn handsome he looks!!! I never in a million years thought it would be harder to dress a boy then a girl. Once again Brody proving me completely wrong. Oh well at least we survived, thank you Kearney and Moore family for the abundance supply of swim trunks and shirts but I extremely excited to say they won't be needed around here any more!!
How two journals turned into my new blog
When Olivia was a baby she would do so many cute adorable things that I thought for sure I would remember, and be able to always look back on and smile. Unfortunately my memory didn't quite corporate the way I had anticipated:( When my Brody bear came along my mother had a wonderful idea of starting a journal for each child, and write down fun memories, comments, and special occasions in. I bought the journals the day Brody at two and a half came down the stairs after Sitto had left for the day and announced" Who does Sitto think she is leaving this house without saying goodbye to me!" I couldn't believe those word came out of his little mouth, and to be honest these type of comments have become a daily occurrence in our family. After hours in front of the computer (thank you Heather) I decided to turn my journals into a blog to continue to capture all these family moments, and memories that need to be documented. I am so blessed to have this family god has given me, and I can't wait to share them with the rest of you bloggers out there.
